Maximilian Jensen-Langdon (b, 1995, UK.)

Positive and negative space constructs and influences our perception of reality. By observing light and its transience within interior and exterior space, one becomes aware of its ever shifting composition. By solidifying these compositions through layering, obscuring, addition and reduction, my work retains both the temporality of light and its self arranging qualities whilst existing within the realm of fine art painting.

Through the use of industrial, non traditional mediums such as emulsion paint, I document the movement of light across a surface, taking scale tracings of its journey across my canvas, creating a fixed representation of light’s migration in time.
